Hobbit Set

It took forever to find the car rental place in Auckland, mainly down to the public transport system. Anyway, we evntually picked up our toyota Yaris and we were on our way, first stop Hobbiton.  In case you dont know, this is the set where all of the Hobbit movies were done and the Lord of the Rings.  Well the bits that were filmed in the shire.  Took  a absolute ton of photos.  Here are a collection.

After the two hour tour we headed to the Waitomo Caves, where we will be exploring tomorrow. The weather is chucking it down, not only does the countryside look like England, it has the weather too!!

I could not put all the pics on, including some  in the green dragon,  This is the pub were all the hobbits danced on the tables.  It was a excellent trip to be honest and would recommend it to anyone taking a trip to New Zealand.
