Auckland

Day 26

laundry, future plans

It was nice to wake up in a proper bed, after hanging out in a hostel for the past 5 days.  Today was literally about sorting future plans for the North and South Islands.  One thing I have noticed is that everything has to be extreme! Bungee, jet boating, go karting, sky diving, white water rafting etc etc! You could spend a fortune here doing every extreme activity you can dream of.  We will certainly get involved in some of them, although we will pick and choose.

After much faffing around and having one car cancelled we eventually have our transport sorted for the next 3 weeks.

Auckland its self is a very nice city, lots of coffee shops and boutiques. Apparently the locals are knowns as JAFAs (Just another fucking Aucklander) as they have a love of sitting around drinking cappuccinos thinking they are better than the rest of residents elsewhere in New Zealand. I personally found the people we met to be very nice.

We were also in desperate need to do some laundry!  We were pushing our clothing to its limit!!!
