San Francisco

Day 8

Bike Hire

Today we hired bikes and went on a very long all day bike ride, despite having man flu.  Anyway, the views crossing the golden gate bridge, looking over to San Francisco, Alcatraz and the harbour were amazing.  It is probably one of the most memorable  days of the tip so far.  The weather was absolutely fabulous as well, in fact I think  both got a bit burnt.

View from the bridge, photo does not do it justice, the haze affects the photo.

After crossing the bridge we headed to a cute little town called Sausalito,

Then off to Old Mill Park.  Here we visited some giant redwood trees.

After that we headed to the harbour at Tiburon and had a well earned ice cream and caught the boat back to San Francisco. Great day out, just have to watch out for the French!  they are the usual polite self, although there seams to be a lot of them here.

All of the Americans we  have met so far have been very friendly and helpful I have been very impressed with their hospitality.  Except for the bitch that nearly ran me over on a zebra crossing.

Off out tonight to get some fish and probably chips!  Please please amazon deliver  my phone tomorrow!
